Dr. Judith M. Bedoy is the owner of The Children's Doctor Professional Corporation in Riverside, California and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Parkview Community Hospital Medical Center and Riverside Community Hospital. She has been in practice for more than 20 years.

About The Children's Doctor

At The Children's Doctor we have been taking care of the children of Riverside since 2008. Collectively our physician and physician assistants represent many years of advanced training and experience. We continue to maintain a model of traditional care in which we firmly believe that pediatricians are the best equipped to take care of all aspects of your child's care. Whether it is answering a simple question on the phone or providing and coordinating care to children with complex medical needs, we are always available. We actively encourage and teach healthy child rearing practices, provide counseling for concerns big and small, and deliver expert and compassionate care for children and their families from birth through adolescence.

We utilize an electronic medical record system. This impoves office efficiency, enables us to better coordinate care and provide you with easy access to commonly requested information such as school/camp forms, vaccine records, prescription refills and appointment requests. Well Child Check Ups & Physicals

Well-child visits are a time when parents can check up on their child's health and make sure they're growing and developing normally. Well-child visits usually start a few days after children are born and continue until they turn 18. An adolescent physical is similar to a physical exam performed on a younger child.

Sick Child Care

It's important to have prompt medical attention that helps them feel better and gets them on the road to healing. We understand parents' worry and offers same-day sick visits to quickly start the treatment your child needs.

School and Sports Physicals

A physical for your child's school sports is the same as a regular psychical with extra regards to any extra information you may need in regards to your child's gear that will protect them while playing the sport and any issues about diet, exercise, and other lifestyle issues.

Child Development Assessments

Developmental assessment is the process of mapping a child's performance compared with children of similar age. The comparison group is obtained from a representative sample of the population that the child comes from.

Vaccinations and Immunization

Immunity is the body's way of preventing disease. Because a baby's immune system is not fully developed at birth, babies face a greater risk of becoming infected and getting seriously ill. Vaccines help teach the immune system learn how to defend against germs.

ADHD Screenings

Behavioral observations: Pediatricians may observe the child's behavior during an office visit or at school to evaluate their symptoms. Medical history: Pediatricians may gather information about the child's medical history and family history to assess the potential causes of their symptoms.

Diagnosis & Treatment of Depression and Anxiety

Depression in children is a mood disorder that leads to feelings of sadness that interfere with their relationships and activities. Talk therapy (cognitive behavioral therapy) and medication are the main ways to treat depression in children.

Autism Screenings

Diagnosing autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can be difficult because there is no medical test, like a blood test, to diagnose the disorder. Doctors look at the child's developmental history and behavior to make a diagnosis. ASD can sometimes be detected at 18 months of age or younger.

Vision Screening

The goals of vision screening and the vision conditions for which a child may be at risk can differ by age. In infants and young children, one of the most important causes of vision impairment is amblyopia, a disorder of visual development secondary to abnormal visual stimulation that can lead to permanent vision loss in the affected eye.

What is a Physician Assistant?

A physician assistant (PA) is a licensed medical professional who holds an advanced degree and is able to provide direct patient care. They work with patients of all ages in virtually all specialty and primary care areas, diagnosing and treating common illnesses and working with minor procedures.
Will we always see the same doctor?

Usually, yes. However, you may not see your own pediatrician if you want a certain day or time for your appointment and your doctor isn't in the office then. You may also see a different doctor if your child needs an urgent or same-day appointment and your own doctor isn't available.

So this has been my daughters Dr for a few years now and it seems as though every time we go there we are seen by a different Dr or Drs Asst which i dont really like but today we got the nicest lady ever! I feel horrible that i didnt get her name by she was beyond amazing!
